Craig is an electronics manufacturer based in Miami, Florida founded in '63. Before the 80s, they were best known for car stereos and high-quality audio equipment before becoming a manufacturer of low-tier pieces of cheap crap. In the DankPods community, they have become a running joke on the DankPods channel and are most known for their cheap knockoff MP3 players. Although Craig produces various other crappy electronics, DankPods uses the term "Craig" to refer to their MP3 players.
Their first gen iPod na-no knockoff was the first Craig device featured on DankPods, shown in the video "I found a bootleg iPod nano." on June 18th, 2020. It had a 2-colour "glorified monochrome" LCD display and 512 MB of internal memory. Its DAC quality was tested alongside the real 1st gen iPod na-no with the Gorillaz debut album and the AKG K712s. The Craig needed a USB battery pack to run because the batt died of old age.
In "I found a bootleg iPod touch", their iPod Touch knockoff was revealed and was dead out of its plastic tomb. It is near identical to the iCoustic branded nugg which only showed a white screen, except the Craig version lacks a few features such as the camera, but the Craig was dubbed the "deluxe nugget" due to the chromed plastic frame. One of the iCoustic players from the Nugget Lucky Dip worked, but could not stop the copyrighted Britney Spears song and was subsequently killed by the 1 Grit.
In “It’s the Craig-a-thon”, Wade reviews some of their other audio products, including a cassette player with AUTO-STOP, an MP3 player and speaker set, a 3-pack of earbuds and two audio speakers, all of which are scarlet-fired by The Diablo.
Most recently, the iCraig tablet Android 9 Go edition. has been featured on the channel and was very slow to do ANYTHING, including barely opening Candy Crush Saga and not being able to finish downloading Real Racing 3 before he gave up on the thing. It came with a terrible micro-USB keyboard case. It had similar performance to a HP STREAM.
