DankPods, also known as Dankmus and in real life as Wade Nixon, is a self-employed drummer and YouTube content creator that can be said as somewhat of an audiophile.
The "Dank" in DankPods comes from his original channel, Dankmus, while "Pods" came from "iPod", as he mostly reviews music related stuff. DankPods lives in Adelaide in South Australia in Australia.
History[]
Wade first started his YouTube career on April 16, 2016 as Dankmus which was a channel that focused making music from specific moments in The Simpsons. Later in June 2018 Wade decided to make a new channel where he can geek out about iPods and uploaded his first video on September 29, 2019 (Featuring Geir).
Break from YouTube[]
On July 20th, 2023, Wade released a video titled "Hey everyone, I need to take a break!" saying about his studio and staff and that he needs a break from YouTube. After that he uploaded compilations of his videos on the same day, July 21st, 2023.

- He helped the iPod community grow and even so much that the cost of iPod classics grew. [citation needed]
- He previously had a Discord server, but he stopped it because of too many people trying to talk to him and impersonators sending rude messages to others.[1]
- He prefers to use the iPods with the monochrome screens because they're easier to see in a wider range of lighting conditions and because he just uses iPods as music players. [citation needed]
- He also seems to heavily prefer Mac to Windows as he only uses Mac and stopped using Windows after Windows 8, though he still seems to like Windows XP (which the EeePeeCee runs) and the Windows 9X operating systems, both of which appear in his drumming streams.
- On his gaming PC, he uses a well known Linux distro, being Ubuntu, which is based on Debian.[2]
- Wade also owns an old Toshiba Satellite running Windows 98 for pre-iPod nuggets.(it has only been shown once)
