Welcome to the DankPods wiki! This is a place to read and edit stuff about YouTuber DankPods! Find some Craig lore, fire up the Maraca Cracker 9000 and The Sexy Speaker, and blast Scarlet Fire through cheap dirtybuds while browsing for more nuggets, Anyone can edit!
You'll Find
- Nuggets! From Wish.com and eBay specials, the Nugget Lucky Dip, to the Biggest Companies who made the Worst Junk and everything in between!
- Headphones as well, if you're into that business too. We also have some speaker content.
- Sometimes iPods are also shown on his channel, but not often due to it being hard to top an iPod with a PC SSD installed into a computer, and then running Windows 10 and Doom Eternal through an iPod's motherboard.
- And more! There are also four sister channels called Dankmus (Wade's original channel which focuses on Simpsons remixes), Garbage Time (his "car thing"), The Drum Thing (which is his "drum thing"), and his new Hello, I'm Gaming channel (which is his "gaming thing")!
Who Is DankPods
Wade Nixon, who goes by DankPods on YouTube, is an Australian YouTuber who creates videos on products such as electronics, iPod accessories, Craig Nuggets, various types of nuggets in general, plastic waste from the 2000s, and weird/outdated tech with sister channels (Garbage Time for cars, and The Drum Thing for Trash and drums).
DankPods owns a snake named Frank, various nugget cars including the Polish Fiat 126P/Niki FSM1 named Tony Kowalski, and many pairs of headphones and nuggets! He also does a Floatplane stream where he does drum sessions every day at various hours for $2.80/month (almost half the price of a Twitch subscription) and has an abandoned Patreon, now that he uploaded all his after shows the Patreon is fully deleted.
Why DankPods?
DankPods has grown to be one of the most influential YouTubers for outdated and goofy electronics. With his third video in October 2019 titled "Building a 1000GB iPod Classic! Can it handle the storage?", DankPods immediately blew up and garnered thousands of subscribers and millions of views within a few weeks, reaching 100K subscribers on March 2, 2020, and 1M subscribers on November 2, 2021. His combination of musical prowess as a former teacher and lifelong drummer, unique comedy style that has set himself apart from others and individual videos that cater to many types of music-going viewers combines to offer a wild ride of hours upon hours browsing clips of Craigs, crappy nuggets and crazy expensive headphones.
