Frank (nicknamed Frankie) is a female Morelia spilota metcalfei (commonly known as the Murray Darling carpet python),[1] a pet of Wade and a fan-favorite on the DankPods channel

On February 14, 2015 [2] when buying paint at a hardware store, Wade saw a reptile shop. Betting they wouldn't have any snakes, and having been interested in snakes for some time, he entered the store to find out they had many snakes. Wade saw another snake of the same species (Murray Darling carpet python) pressed up against the glass, and he looked at the snake for some time, captivated by it. The owner of the shop offered to let him hold the snake after noticing him staring. Wade had never seen a snake up-close (besides venomous snakes native to the part of Australia he grew up in), so he was slightly nervous initially holding the snake, he quickly gave the snake back and left the store. The experience kept bugging him though, and the next day he returned to the store and requested to buy a baby Murray darling python.[1]
Gender[]
Though the name Frank is a masculine given name,[3] Frank's gender is actually female. The name was not intentionally chosen to confuse people. When Wade was going to buy Frank, he noticed that she was a lot smaller than her other siblings, and male pythons are smaller than the girls, so Wade named her Frank assuming she was male. At her first check-up with a vet however, she had grown massive, and Wade kept the name Frank.[1]

- Frank used to eat anything as a baby[4], but now she refuses to eat anything other than Quails. [1]

- After working with her, Frank, who as a baby used to be very bite-y, has become a lot more chill and doesn't bite. Wade believes that she does this to all people in general and not specifically him.[1]
- Frank will never bite when she is not anxious,[1] though Wade says she is anxious all the time.

- Frank shed her skin after over a year on camera, and it was included in the dankpods video uploaded on the 5th of February, 2021.
- Frank seems to be good at opening containers(even from the inside) as Wade revealed in the Garbage Time video “Frank the snake gets a check up”. That is why Wade puts her inside a reptile bag and puts the bag inside a plastic bin.
- Frank has her own camera during Wade’s drum streams
